Just got done watching the PDA Blue/Maryland United game. Blue won 2-1, but it seemed Maryland was dominating the game. Call me crazy, but PDA does not seem to have the consistency they had last year. It looks like alot of confusion on the team, and Blue has trouble finishing. Another parent posted that they changed their strategy in game play, telling the forwards to always get the ball to one player. If this is true, thay explains alot. This is the second time we have played them and I honestly think South gave us more of a fight. I see alot of changes in the future with the Blue roster.

They had a real tough time finishing and the passing was not what it could have been. It honestly seemed like it was a team of brand new kids that never played together rather than a team that's been together for years. I'm wondering if having a new coach this season is part of the problem.

If anyone can say that blue is just a good as they were last year, then you all need to get glasses. Blue was a real good team, and you can see them starting to fall backwards. Beating Maryland 2-1 is not a strong win. And to be honest, the teams in the Mid Atlantic division aren't the strongest. And to brag that Blue has won all their games this season is silly. They padded themselves with games against pda south, pda white and Bethesda. Notice how they only play Penn Fusion and MF once? There was zero reason for blue to play south twice, other than to go after a guaranteed win both games. There is no reason why they should play Bethesda twice either. And to say Blue has no input on schedules is a lie. PDA is on the ECNL board, of course they have input. So before you brag about their undefeated season, consider the fact they are beating the teams at the bottom of the list. Not that impressive.

What’s the excuse there? Even professional teams tie and lose games they should win. Don’t hold your breath for that downward spiral.

They also think that certain starters are part of the problem. Thats what happens when you try to build the team around one player, who quite honestly, has not been the star she once was. Blue could suffer their first lost when they face Penn Fusion, and it could be a second when they face MF.
