Everyone thinks their A team is great. The players who are on the B/C team are mostly solid. I’ve never seen the C team, but I guess it is the weaker B players from last season. They are average to slightly above average teams without a star player or two. Coaching is above average.
The issue most I’ve heard from have with them has nothing to do with the girls, the play, the coach - it is the hive mentality and clamoring that their B team is a top team and that Susie will make the A next year.
We laugh about the parents in all their gear. The parents are over the top. Most of the B girls would be better off leaving the club and attending other tryouts where their kid has a chance at an A team. Many would probably make some pre ecnl/ecrl teams out there, like I said they are solid players, not stars. Unfortunately the parents can’t get out of the hive.

The same thing plays out every year - usually at U11 and U12. Some group of parents think they have a "special group" of girls based on some success in lower flights or in tournaments playing futures or early 9v9. Then they eat humble pie when they move up in flights and start playing some stronger teams. Then town travel players start joining other clubs and the competition gets better. Parents of kids that get cut for better players coming in are the first to complain the club "doesn't develop" players. If stuck on a B team, the better players get frustrated and leave. Kids change physically and 11v11 is a huge change in the way the game is played. Rinse. repeat.

you need technical players for 11v11. Ones who can receive a ball nicely and connect passes. Anyone who boots the ball is in trouble in 11v11. It’s all about possession. The more technical, the better you will be in tight spaces. My D likes 11v11 better than 9v9 because there is more space on the field

Their B team is solid and can compete with most club’s top teams. They would beat teams such as FA or the Torpedoes.

Well said. No one knows what is in store until puberty. Girls are a different animal when that time comes. Some girls slow down in speed and agility, some grow really tall and stronger, some get weaker. Just the way their bodies are at that age. The change is real, my oldest daughter was great at soccer until that time, then she grew so much it was like learning to play as a whole new person, and she gave it up.

CSA Monmouth B would tie to Torpedoes and would beat FA in a close game.
