I know families who have daughters who played from ulittle to u19 for a coach there, and are now playing D1 ball. All alum listed on their page had an SJEB annual college commitment night to celebrate their achievements. I’ve been to them! It’s a big deal for the players who are active participants in the club, transitioning to college soccer. My kids team hasn’t hit HS yet, but the future is bright for these young studs and their coach! I hope they stay together until the end bc they are that dam good!
I know several dozen that went D1 as well from SJEB, still doesn't skip the fact that SJEB has issues with teams falling apart at older ages, claims alumni that didn't get recruited from an SJEB team, or that they post alumni that either played very little with SJEB or didn't play college ball at all. Some have excelled in D1 in spite of not because of their coaches at SJEB.

Ds SJEB team WAS a great team as was the year above it and below it. Almost the entire team(s) grew up in the SJEB system from u7/u8 and both teams were competitive against ECNL teams like Blue, WC, PF, and SUSA. These team did well in DA and at the start of GA. Now these teams have 4-5 of those players each and have added more and more players from outside the club as they have been bleeding players to Blue, White, PF, South, Ukies, Hex, Real, Sporting and RUSA (06s only but I guess they are coming back with the u19 merger) over the last few years. They went from having multiple teams in the top 3 and playing in the playoffs to combining for 14 wins over these 3 ages and none reaching the playoffs. It is a fact of life that SJEB teams will not hold up over time and it isn't because of GA or ability it has to do with the fact that the coaching style plays to 2-3 players and treats everyone lese like they are nothing but replaceable helpers. On top of that certain coaches have allowed certain players and parents to do whatever they want which has players/parents leaving. You haven't gotten to that point yet, great, but don't stick your head in the sand and pretend it will never come.

      It's public knowledge.
Ds team is a GA team, hasn't lost anyone to ECNL and is a GA playoff caliber team. Hasn't even lost any to another GA team. So it isn't every team.

Easier said then done as GDA was formed because US Soccer and ECNL couldn't play nice. That is how we got GDA/GA and ECNL Boys and now each wants a feeder league which is only making things worse. I agree though, ECNL should absorb the top 60% or so of GA clubs into ECNL and ECNL RL to just kill off the GA as well as top clubs from DPL and USYS just to make the gab that much bigger between ECNL and the rest of the leagues. Maybe that will get US Soccer and US Club to the table to figure out how to make a single system.

This piggy backs on a previous post. Parents who complain and dictate their kids field position, hang out with the coach, and golf with him are catered too. Everyone else is replaceable and treated bad. That's why players leave. It has gotten out of control

Wouldn't surprise me if some wind up going to PDA Blue. They need all the help they can get.

I would guess your daughters team is not high school age yet. Players will leave for ECNL. More top GA clubs will leave GA for ECNL and it will cause the GA to get even more watered down. The entire soccer system is a nightmare.

If a GA team hasn't lost players to ECNL clubs, that means their players are not good enough. I have a GA player and an ECNL one and the exposure is not even close so you can't find a group of 18-20 parents where none want the increased exposure. That is clear.

If leagues don't matter why is SJEB trying to get into ECNL? Why not just stay in GA?
