I like how people say GA is so bad and all the players are leaving for ECNL. So what they are saying is the GA players are better than the ECNL players they are replacing.

"I like how people say GA is so bad and all the players are leaving for ECNL." - At a certain age maybe girls are looking for greater exposure. GA is not bad. It may be trending down but it's still competitive. Just because they leave doesn't mean it's bad competition.
"So what they are saying is the GA players are better than the ECNL players they are replacing" - There are players on GA teams who can replace players on an ECNL roster.

It’s not false at all. Once they or their parents realize that you get a third of the exposure in GA as you do in ECNL, they will bolt. It’s just numbers. 75% of D1 girls soccer players come from ECNL, 20% from GA, 5% everywhere else.
no one respects GA. The good players on your team will get tired of it. They will get tired of playing in a second class league with second class players.
I don’t have to “talk it into existence”. It already exists. The 2010 team thought they had something special too and now that team is in shambles.

Before that they merged with NJ Rush South which itself was created by a merger with Rage FC just a few years prior. Before the merger Rush and SJEB were partnered in the DA to form the SJEB Rush which was u13 and up. Before that, in 2009, South Jersey Elite merged with the South Jersey Barons Youth Academy. So in about 15 years they have had several major mergers which is more than most clubs and left Southern NJ with few other competitive clubs. They have also worked to partner and merge with a few other clubs that never materialized.

You’re just trying to talk it into existence! Only kids leaving that team are just leaving for other reasons - I.e. not enough playing time. This argument that they are going to lose their top players is just a false narrative.

GA showcases = ECNL showcases = ID clinics = exposure to college coaches.

Ok, look, GA isn't going anywhere. People have been saying that since GA was formed and it hasn't. Sure, it has become the de-facto league that ECNL pulls from (more so then its own RL league) but that just shows how strong it is. Will GA ever bee as strong as ECNL, no, not likely, but colleges have found that they can find great recruits and will continue to rival ECNL with overall commits.
ECNL, because it sounds like most have never actually seen any ECNL teams play, is full of mediocre clubs. In the Northeast you have PF and Blue and everyone else and even Blue has started looking more above average then great. In any given age bracket the top 3-5 teams would be a better fit then the bottom half of what they currently have. The GAs bottom is easily lower than ECNLs but the top is competitive on a national level.
The reason I think ECNL allows GA to exist, because lets face it - if ECNL wanted to crush GA they could easily add the top 30-40 clubs and watch the ship sink, they allow it because it gives a better check into which clubs to allow into ECNL. When ECNL relied on random leagues or even their own RL league those clubs didn't fair so well. The GA clubs on the other hand come in and start competing at multiple ages with the top regular contenders.

The GA league and the ECNL are both prestigious youth soccer leagues in the United States, both offering high-level competition and development opportunities for young female players. Here are a few reasons why the Girls Academy league is just as good as the ECNL league:
1. Competitive Level: The GA features some of the top youth soccer clubs in the country, ensuring high-level competition similar to that of the ECNL. Players in the GA are regularly exposed to rigorous matches and tournaments, enhancing their skills and performance.
2. Development Focus: Both leagues emphasize player development, providing structured training environments, professional coaching, and access to top-tier facilities. The GA also aligns with the U.S. Soccer Development Academy's standards, ensuring a consistent and high-quality development pathway.
3. College Recruitment: The GA offers extensive exposure to college scouts and recruiters. The league organizes showcases and tournaments specifically designed to attract college coaches, much like the ECNL, helping players secure collegiate opportunities.
4. National Recognition: The Girls Academy has quickly gained national recognition and respect within the youth soccer community. It has established itself as a credible and valuable platform for aspiring young athletes, much like the ECNL.
5. Player-Centric Approach: The GA emphasizes a holistic approach to player development, focusing not only on athletic performance but also on the overall well-being and growth of the athletes. This approach mirrors the values upheld by the ECNL.
6. Pathway to Professional and National Teams: The GA, like the ECNL, provides a clear pathway for players aspiring to reach professional levels and national team selections. The league's competitive environment and emphasis on development prepare players for the next stages of their soccer careers.
The Girls Academy league offers similar levels of competition, development opportunities, and exposure as the ECNL, making it an equally valuable platform for young female soccer players aiming to reach their highest potential.
