its not.. the North Atlantic ECRL teams are just as bad as the North East ECRL teams. keep pretending there are levels to the ECRL. lol they are equals

I am in the camp that the main ECNL is the only league that matters so that said all ECRL is a big step down. For ECRL or simply Regional league, all of the conferences follow the same format for championship. Also all conferences can attend the Regional league showcases. So ECRL Northeast may have a "step down" in teams/clubs it is actually the same Regional League as the rest. Hence, no such thing as ECRL2.

MFS is on its 2nd year in ECRL. Last year they were the ECRL team for regular MF. They did well and are doing well this year. It wouldn’t surprise me to see them get promoted from ECRL for next season.

That isn’t how they’ve promoted from ECRL to ECNL in other areas of the country. Winning the national championship isn’t a requirement for promotion.

most teams at MFA shore would do decent in ECNL. I’m sure they can hang. And there isn’t any ECNL team in the shore area. So good location to get talented players.

Match Fit Shore would be a top tier program if ECNL. Easily better than Match Fit Morris because of saturation problems up North with teams with badges. It would become the destination club of the Shore/Central area of the state.

there is no saturation problem in the north. When you compare the HS aged population to number of GA/ECNL clubs, its not even close. Zarephath is the same distance from most places on the NJ shore as in Essex and Bergen counties. At HS age, Id say over 50% of kids are traveling 40-45min+ to practice. If anything, there is far more saturation in the Philly area suburbs than the North.

The fact that this is even a discussion and a club like CSA doesn't get the consideration for ECNL shows how screwed up the "system" is. Politics again destroying youth sports. CSA has better infrastructure, the required A/B teams, better teams overall, coaches, etc. MFS has 1 rented field, no B teams, only 2 decent at best ECRL2 teams, and 1 salesman/coach and a bunch of dads acting as coaches.

CSA is tied for better or worse to the GA, which is still rebuilding after the DA collapse. In a few years, the GA will be in a much stronger place

CSA is 100x better than MFA shore. You are right. Better coaching, better facilities, that’s why youth soccer is a joke now. Too political. RT at MFA shore is also a joke of a coach. And there are a bunch of parent coaches it’s rediculous. If they got ECNL I’m sure they would attract players who want to play in ECNL, but the MFA shore program is not great. They don’t focus on technical training. Only coach alley does. Everyone else just scrimmages. Or maybe does some passing lines. There are better clubs out there who deserve ECNL over MFA shore.

I think this location could also attract lots of south jersey, Middlesex, Union, Staten Island, Mercer and maybe bucks county players. All under about an hour to play ECNL.
