STA 2011 and 2009 Boys are both good.

      2. it did not prove your point, nor would they have been all top 10 teams 5 years ago. That’s fantasy land. There are 3 or 4 Red Bull teams alone at the younger ages now that pull the top kids in and spit them out. STA has always been a best of the rest program. Top kids were always in MLS or DA. STA teams were just behind them. They have never had teams be number 1. Be realistic.
Thanks STA Dad. We get it you think they are great. They are a cash cow for the owner. Like PSA. PSA used to have good teams but the model was clearly to make as much money as possible with no long term vision. As STA can’t get into either the MLS Next or Girls ECNL they have become the same. They pretend to be something they are not. They have some good coaches but ultimately they have no platform for the best players so the owner has mandated maximum roster numbers to boost his bottom line.

lol not a STA dad. Literally said my kid plays against them. And yes, I do think they have good teams. Clearly your kid couldn’t cut it there and got moved down or cut completely. Sorry they weren’t good enough. You clearly have some hatred towards them because of this.

now we also know you are nuts saying PSA used to have good teams. They have never had any good teams. Ever. You think STA used to have #1 teams in the state and PSA was the good teams they were playing. That makes total sense now.

you keep showing your true colors with no knowledge. I have heard that STA boys were offered MLS Next two years ago and didn’t join. The GA and MLS have aligned with each other.

CSA Bergen and Monmouth plus Real both have MLS Next / GA. Their 2nd teams have aligned into the NAL league. PDA was forced to get rid of their boys ECNL teams to stay in MLS Next but their girls are ECNL. STA is GA on girls and ECNL on boys. I can see STA and PDA having to have their boys or girls programs make a switch.

That’s funny. STA turned down MLS Next. I can’t even read the rest of the message. You seem quite educated for a non STA Dad. This message smacks of an STA coach on here trying to justify why they are in secondary leagues in both girls and boys but there is some sort of magical alignment.

My son has lined up against the 2009 ECNL lot a few times and they are a solid group of ballers.

The best STA coaches moved on a while ago. They saw the writing on the wall. More of their top coaches will follow soon

How does this align with there purchase OW a MLSN team?

Rumors have it some of their better coaches already had conversations with other clubs. How that went or is going, who knows but Money will always talk in the end. It’s well known that they can get more money elsewhere. Baffles me as to what is actually keeping them there. Loyalty to players? Loyalty to teams? Can’t see it being loyalty to the club or the people running it

Going off their HS ECNL results it doesn’t look like the best start. Unless I’m wrong, it looks like only their 08’s won and with a pretty big scoreline too. Take into consideration that they played World Class who are a good club but if STA are the big club that they are made out to be then surely they would expect better results at home in their opening games… just a point. Their 2009 group lost too

The son of a friend of mine just left CSA to go to the 08 ECNL at STA this past fall. They are meant to be a completely different team from years gone by and extremely strong, so STA as a club are still obviously able to pull players from all levels. Beating world class 08 5-0 is quite a shock. They’ve typically been a really good side in years gone by when my own son played vs them.

What is the relationship with the clubs now that STA has bought Oakwood?
