Northeast is "Dumpster". why then are North Atlantic and New England ECRL losing to those Northeast ECRL teams at tournaments since last year. College coaches would rather see players play on the first team than a 2nd team at PDA , CFC, FC Stars or World Class. This is a fact, was told directly to my child. Reason why we left Match Fit, best move we ever did. Our club coach now has connections that MF could not offer. Crazy to see how many coaches attend our games compared to our former team based on his relationships.

Now kids may stay within a town if they are playing on the same platform as the academies and those towns will attract good players who want to play ECNL/RL and maybe don’t have the funds to pay for academies.
ok town teams will never, ever get into ECNL or ECRL. Like ever. Put down the Philly blunt and go to bed.

I wouldn’t say never. I know towns applying. Some may make it.

SUSA is Smithtown United, CRUSA FC Bucks is Council Rock United, so there are examples of town organizations getting into ECNL and ECRL.

Huh, you have no idea how this works you? This is so idiotic I’m not sure where to start. SUSA isn’t a town team and never was. My god you’re reaching for straws.

Great point. I've never understood on this site what people dismissively call "Town" teams vs what they define as "Clubs" or "academies". There are plenty of clubs that started as "town" programs that have evolved into cubs. Bethesda was a town team. Maryland United was the Bowie, and Waldorf MD town teams combined. Penn Fusion was "West Chester United." STA was a Morristown town team. World Class was evolved from "Orangetown Metro" Rec soccer. Torpedoes were/are the "Wycoff" Torpedoes. Force is Monroe-Woodbury Rec. Its really only the newer "Clubs" that didnt come up as town teams. PDA, Cedar Stars, MF are all new (er) than most of these clubs. Often two or more town teams will merge to form a bigger organization. Its not clear to me on the girls side that a professional team starting a youth program yields better results than a town team organically growing.
