ECRL will lure you into thinking you’re playing national level soccer. They will create the façade that you have a shot at promotion to ECNL. They will have regional and national tournaments that are really third or fourth tier soccer tournaments at best. They will eventually convince all the town teams to join. Once they have a couple years of success doing this, they will sell to private equity just like EDP did.

Private equity are running out of options to invest rich peoples money, so they will fall for this. Eventually, it will all come full circle, and hopefully U.S. Soccer takes control and structures things so that soccer is no longer a sport just for the rich.

USYS’ lack of vision and disorganization of the NL and other programs has lead to the growth of leagues like ECRL etc…NL shouldn’t be mentioned in the same sentence as ECNL and GA. The NL platform is secondary/tertiary to them.

USYS continued lack of leadership will further strengthen the other options. They never adapted and thus have become irrelevant. It’s nothing different than what happens in the real world.

Freehold has bob smith academy indoor bubble to train in. As well as Capelli fields for turf and freehold fields.
they are getting a DOC with a plan for development.
majority of their coaches are bob smith trainers not parents.

if they got ECNL or ECRL they would keep their players longer.
they are not that far behind MFA shore and pda shore,…. Both in ECRL.

MFA shore is one team most of MFA ECNL teams are located in Mercer. I don’t think town teams will ever be allowed into ECNL.

US soccer really should change it up.

They've had opportunities to and either fail(GDA) or just don't bother. It's a hot mess there, with little leadership or vision.
