Having said that, in my D's situation, we found that this consultant gave more valuable feedback on her videos than her coaches did (none of her coaches were actually college coaches, so their feedback didn't seem quite as on-target as the consultant was), plus it was a benefit for the consultant to watch the video without having any bias of having coached/watched D play before (so the consultant was viewing the videos cold, the same way a college coach would receive them). And yes, D reached out to all of the coaches on her target list directly as well. Apparently, the contact from the consultant meant something to the college coach who reached out, because they hadn't responded to D's emails prior to that. Again, ultimately it didn't matter because D ended up getting recruited to a college that she preferred over that one, and the coach who recruited her didn't use NCSA at all.
