Looking for some information on the STA boys high school aged platform? U15-U19. How are the teams at these age groups generally? It’s obviously important in terms of college recruitment and want to make sure if I make the move to a platform that excels in pushing players to the collegiate level. My kids leaving MLS to play ECNL. Matchfit I have no interest in.

STA is great club. My kids been in the program for 6 years, like every club, most age groups are top level and one or 2 struggle. I do know there have been a number of changes at certain age groups for this year in terms of player overhaul and coaching changes. The 09 group have a new coach and 08 group have overhauled what appears to be basically 90 percent of the existing group (who weren’t great).
Really depends on your sons age for what he will be coming into but for to answer the question, they do a great job in the college recruitment process. My son is still a freshman in HS so still to go through that part. -
My son is a now U17 but I did hear similar. I have a friend in the club whose son is a U12. They also have a new coach who is the Ecnl director? (Could be wrong) but STA have always been one of the biggest clubs and ECNL is appealing to us.Originally posted by Guest View PostComment

It’s a great club and the coaches are great for the majority. I don’t know them all but do know JJ, TB and BM are all great coaches having had them work with my kid before. The amount of time these guys put into the kids is scary. I do believe the U17 coach is TB (again could be changed as of this year).
