    2 teams, 1 tuition

Our club has some girls playing on both the EDP and GA teams. It seems rather than skill they choose girls who’s parents are super committed to the club.

As of yet, it does not impact my child at all. She gets plenty of playing time and I don’t really want her on both rosters, however it rubs me the wrong way that we’re all paying the same price and some kids are getting double training and games. All I’d like is a break on my current tuition, which I know won’t happen. Is it worth it to say something?

Being on a B team and playing up isn't the same as being a full time A team player. Now if that B team player is getting as much as or more time as your A team D then you need to seriously consider moving. Be glad your GA team isn't like my Ds who's new coach decided that moving from 17 to 22 players was a good idea even when several of the new players are nothing but added bodies incase of injuries - as stated by the coach to several players and parents from last years team. But, he wants all players to play 2 games at showcases and nationals which includes trips to CA and NC and all players to be at every game even ones they aren't dressing for. Plus, none of these players are currently on the B team. If I could move her I would but options around us are thin.

Our team is doing something very similar, large roster increase. Nobody can explain the rules for when the additional 6 players will not dress for each game. Not really great at least make it clear the guidelines.

Make your concerns clear. A coach can’t avoid answering those questions. You may not like the answer as many clubs do not care if players leave. Hence the large rosters. But if this was my kids team I would be asking questions. you’re just asking for honesty.

Cute that you think you'll get honesty from a club

A lot of clubs do this because they do not have enough players for an additional team but do not want to turn away money. They get their better players to also play on the lower teams so these team seem better than they are in hopes of brining in new players. This is what clubs like Copa do. At some point the house of cards collapse

Every club does it. It’s a business. If the club has a second team it happens even more. Easy to push people down. Or they can leave. Doesn’t matter to the club it’s $$$. My issue would be a DP traveling to an opposite coast trip and paying half tuition but getting the same actual game time as my player. You all have the answers. How do you approach that?
