I guess a lot happens from U12G->U13G. Teams are expanding so some are losing better players for better teams, teams are bolting for various club vs club leagues and yet others come back from playing up a year (so they start 11v11 earlier). It just seem weird how it affects certain teams
It seems that everyone moves up 1/2 a division by default (since some of the top teams bolt).
I find it weird with teams drop a lot. I wonder what happened to them that their club decided to lobby for that. Teams like Morris Elite dropped from P-3 to P-6, and Valencia, NJ Stallions, Deptford Premier, Florham Park and Franklin Elite dropped from P-4 to P-6 (and some did well/ok in P-4). No way EDP would know to drop them that far without the club saying something like "we lost our top 5 players" or something like that. I always felt the bottom group (P-6 for U13) is usually better teams than the group above them (since there are a bunch of teams coming from MOSA, NCSA, Mid NJ, SJSL, ... that are good they just are new, do not know where to go and end up at the bottom). Must stink for players that decided to leave their teams to join these teams that dropped so far.
It also nice that SJEB (and their new Hamilton Elite/SJEB South) and Real JFC want to play in the PA groups. Guess it makes sense since Philly is less than 50 minutes away. Guess it beats going to Bergen County
Just a 2012 parent looking to see what might happen next year for my D.
