It was a verbal offer that came from the goalie coach SH. The official offer from MF comes May 1st. She has already accepted the offer, but can't officaly accept it till after the shore tryout dates. From what I was told, they want to get rid of the existing goalie on the shore team.

Hence the reason why it was verbal. Guarantee she will show up at tryouts, and officially receive her offer that night. Basically, she's going into tryouts with a guaranteed spot. The existing 09 kids already have their offers. SH doesn't get along with the existing goalies father so he would do anything to bring in someone new. And offering her a verbal spot before souths tryouts is a way to guarantee he gets her.

She did not try out for blue, she reached out to the goalie coach from north to see about tryouts but was told they weren't looking for a new goalie for blue, and white already had 4 goalies. She then talked with a friend from MF who got her in touch with Stu. I guess she either sat in with MF or Stu went to a game to see her and he offered her a spot. Honestly, MF has a hardon for PDA kids. You could be the worst player ever, but the fact that you were at PDA guarantees you a roster spot. On a side note, JB would make this kids life a living hell should she come over. He would not like his kid giving up playtime, especially after he pushed the red haired goalie out last year. Such a toxic environment. There's a reason why the talented kids leave every year.

The rules prevent the team from inviting her to train or tryout before 5/1. Nothing prevents them from making an offer or asking her to come to a tryout if they player reached out first.

It says you can’t invite the player to train, tryout or guest play at a tournament before 5/1 (the designated tryout date). It says you can’t promote your club to the parent or player at any competition. It doesn’t say anything about not having contact or making an offer if the parent reaches out to the club.
