Moment at MFS 09 ECNL

MF Shore 09s will definitely see movement next season. Certain players on the team will be making the move to the new RL team. Right now we are hearing all the new kids that just joined within the last couple of months, plus possibly 1 or two of existing players, depending on the amount of new kids joining the team. Right now we have 20. DB wants to keep it between 18/20 kids, and we have at least 6 new kids coming on for next year. Honesty, the new additions we just got were nothing more than just bodies. IMO, none are ECNL caliper and really shouldn't have made the team to begin with, but DB and RT needed bodies in case we had injuries. Making playoffs is a big deal. We couldn't afford to go into them with half a team with injuries. Unfortunately, there will alot of pissy parents after the playoffs are done, crying they went to San Diego and only saw 5 min of playtime.

So, what we are hearing for next season is several of the existing 09 ECNL players will be moving to the new MFS RL team, and replacing them a new crop of kids, some of which are from PDA White. The kids moving are actually also new players that recently joined the ECNL team within the last few months. Seems like even with RT gone, the team still continues to juggle players. It's easy to see which kids are making the move, none are starters, and they are probably the weakest links on the team. I get DB wants to pad the team with top notch kids, but nothing has been said to any of the kids or thier parents about being moved down. If DB learned anything from RT, it's how to do a bait and switch with players.

So scrimmage practices aren't developing the "weak links"?

Lol, are you being serious? I can guarantee not one single kid or parent is aware of what will happen in the fall. RT and DB are notorious for moving kids from one team to another

No you couldn’t pay me enough to be a coach, I just know the soccer landscape and this thread along with the majority of other topics posted on this forum are absolutely incorrect and false. Parents with past gripes and perceived misdeeds should really just focus on developing their child and let the rest take care of itself.

Dude, if you read all the threads on here, you should know by now that DB and RT are constantly shifting players. It's no big secret that RT had to form a second team at CSA because he constantly brought on new kids. And the fact that the shore now has the new RL badge, they need to make sure they have the bodies to man it. Do you honestly think they would keep so-so kids on a ECNL roster if better ones came along? If you believe that, I have a bridge for sale. There is ZERO loyalty at MF to any of the players, unless you are part of the legacy CSA kids.

Lol, these kids and parents won't know a thing till the fall. You're crazy if you think DB is going to risk losing kids or money. He knows if he waits till the fall, you won't have options to find new teams. DB and RT will spin it in a way that you will think moving to the new RL team is a good thing. Bookmark this post and revisit it in the fall. Let's see if I'm right.

Lol, my wife was telling me that one of the new players on the teams father told her the girl quit because his daughter was so good the mf girl was afraid to compete against her. Some people are really delusional.

I know which parent you're talking about. That father is the biggest pain in the ass. We have friends that said he was telling people that his kid is a new starter at MF and that's she's as good as GH. None of us like him or his wife. Like another poster said, the guy is delusional. His kid is average at best. No where near the talent of the top 10 on the team.

First off, the entire team is not completely filled, some of the kids on the ECNL team are making the move as well. Second, DB is keeping things quiet till after the regionals. Hate to burst your bubble, but it's the truth. DB is not carrying a roster of 25 on the ECNL team. And to be honest, some of those kids currently don't belong on there, especially any one the new kids that recently joined. You can post as much as you want about it not being true. Let's just revisit this thread in the fall and see who's right.

Everyone wants to believe their kid is the best in the world and that clubs have loyalty to players and parents. Truth is, it's a business, and like every business, they want/need to succeed. Movement of players happens everywhere. Unfortunately, MF has a reputation of switching kids constantly. And just because DB has not announced it yet, ask some of the Denville 09 players their thoughts on that. They were led to believe that they were getting the ECNL badge, all the way up to the beginning of the season when it was announced the current Shore 09 team would have it. And based on what I've seen, MFS 09s have room for improvement. Getting rid of certain players and replacing them with better ones will definitely happen.
