Torpedoes as a club will never be good. Their best player already plays for MFA and only does certain events with Torpedoes. Her mother is the one who curses on the sidelines constantly at kid and looks like she stuck her finger in a socket. The Torpedoes coach and his daddy's are an example of town soccer at it's best.

The club that will never be good consistently wins against the large academies and just lost a close game in the state cup finals despite not really recruiting. You took the time to login here after the game, say something nasty about a parent and a club and somehow think you're better? Yikes.

Their recruiting net isn't nearly as wide as PDA, Match Fit, World Class etc yet somehow they end up competing. Probably a pretty good testament to the training, no? I mean, they just made it to the state cup finals......not bad for being a "poorly ran town team".

I have no skin in this game, but the state cup wasn't exactly screaming tough competition. Torpedoes beat Match Fit White and Bloomfield. SJEB beat Real 2 and Kingsway. Kingsway probably the toughest team out of those teams listed.

Nothing to do with recruiting. They are what they are. The 2013’s are only relevant due to the one girl. She is exceptional. It’s luck they have her. It happens. But without her they are garbage. None of their other teams are even ever spoken about. Let’s be real. She is actually carded for MFA and plays off age alot. The coach and parents cherry pick where and when she would play. Not a bad word being sad about her and the way she plays. But torpedoes are just a run of the mill town team.

To say that the torpedoes are a run of the mill town team is false. Soccer app has the boy side ranked number 1 in the state as an organization. Their boys red have teams ranked in the top 10 in almost every age group. That said, the girls side is not as strong, especially after 2011. Their better players tend to move on to World Class, Matchfit and PDA since they don’t get the same talent as the boys. But the training there is 1st class for all the red teams.

Both Torpedoes 2013 and 2014 boy teams are great teams top 5-10 in the state in their age groups but I always wonder why do they never play Premier 1 in their own age group?

Oh come on ppl. Torpedoes is daddy ball. They are a good town team. They have some money. But they are not good or special. Every good kid there trains somewhere else. To be good at a young age is usually just because of god given talent not from amazing development of torpedoes. Pls stop. It’s not an insult. They are a town team. The sad part is you parent think they are a legit club. Just take them for what they are. If your kid is good enough or you and them have the stones to deal with some competition and try out for some teams. Not fast ball that cuts NO ONE. Again they are a good town team. But nothing more

Every good kid at EVERY club (except maybe the MLS academy teams) trains “somewhere else.” That is a nonsense argument

You think one player can keep a team competitive at that age? You clearly don't understand the game. That might work at U8 or U9, but not at u11 or u12. I have to say, loving the lack of knowledge in these posts.

Def a typo lol. I see the point. All top players train privately. Overall point is commitment. I personally won’t let me children be involved in any club that parents have involvement. Aka daddy ball!! Not sure what was meant about fast ball tho lol. But damn there are a lot of haters here.
