White is definitely not a good team. But it is a good litmus test as to where your D stands in terms of talent. If you are new to PDA North, I would recommend taking the White spot that is offered to your D. She will play in the ECNL and if she starts, plays a lot, and is top talent on White, Blue will consider the potential of bringing her up. This happens, contrary to what anyone else says. On the flip side though, if she doesn’t start and comes of the bench on the White team, perhaps you might think about going to an club in GA or EDP where she WILL get more playing time that would contribute to her development. It’s hard to develop if you’re riding the pine. And most importantly, you have to be honest with yourself and your D given either results

Buyer Beware. We made the mistake of coming to the club this season. We learned a hard lesson that will be corrected. Look at the current standings of the 10’s - 05’s. 7,9,5,7,10,8 respectively. The program top to bottom is not what we thought it would be. I know no one cares about our business but we felt obligated to warm others that may be ready to make the jump as we did. This is a public service announcement.

Did you D start and get a lot of playing time? Was she considered for blue at the end of your season? If she did start and wasn’t considered for blue then completely understand.

Good advice. I'll note the flipside, it's hard to be noticed on how you've developed if nobody sees it. Catch-22 in some cases

Maybe they should get rid of the “White” and just call it “PDA Light Blue, or label it B team. That way it’s understood why they are not competitive and sole role is a money grab and pay for Blue trips.

Now explain to me how they are developing? Either they are getting worse or the other teams are getting better. ECNL teams look at the schedule and check the box as a win before season starts now. Regardless it’s not a place to develop your D and you have to take a deep look inward to see if you are doing what’s best for them out yourself as a selfish parent.

Now explain to me how they are developing? Either they are getting worse or the other teams are getting better. ECNL teams look at the schedule and check the box as a win before season starts now. Regardless it’s not a place to develop your D and you have to take a deep look inward to see if you are doing what’s best for them out yourself as a selfish parent.

Ahh Pre ecnl where everyone gets equal playing time.. Great examples.. now go look at some of the other weird scoring from other teams..

Not quite equal time. Everyone gets a significant amount of playing time (which I respect them for), but some of the better players do get more than others.

Wonder how parents are going to handle it next year when their kid goes from 30+ minutes in a 60 minute game to ~10 minutes in a 70 minute game

Who cares what the parents want? Kid should see the drop in minutes and find a way to get more, or downgrade. Like any other competitive endeavor.

Those teams are ranked 5 and 6 in the division with .500 records thanks to PDA White for the 4 victories. It really makes it look even worse.

Seems like the talent is elsewhere nowadays.

Remember who you play for. The club cares about results on every Blue team. Its their brand.

You get what you pay for when you join a club v club league. You will play the other people willing to pay money no matter how bad their teams are.

Now take out the ECNL tournament games where they play teams on par as them and watch the wins fall off. White is still far better than South.
