Get a real job and supplement it with soccer training/coaching. Pretty simple stuff.

I know a few that teach, some sub while pulling in $45-$60k coaching.

I don't give a crap at all just don't complain doing what you chose to do. The point still stands. Get a real job to earn money and coach/train to earn extra to enjoy.

There's a reason the better youth coaches that really want it to be a career move as fast as they can into the pros or college. It's the only way to make a halfway decent living with more stability, pay and bennies

I believe coaches get told to try and get to 18 but I’ve been told that rosters do get decided on a per coach basis. Take a look at which coach has which team. Some coaches take small rosters, others take big ones. Rosters are all on the ecnl site

Rosters on top teams are large just about everywhere. It's the clubs that pressure coaches to take more because after about #15 every incremental players goes straight to their bottom line. Each player at their club is a player that isn't at a competitor. They are businesses.

Don't take a spot unless you're pretty certain ypur player will be a consistent starter or first off the bench. Sadly you shouldn't believe a club's promises of a limited roster unless they have a consistent history of actually doing it

What ECNL club in NJ has non-ECNL teams? Or do you mean the RL teams? I know PDA pays per head on the team which is one reason they take 20+ players.

PDA also has EDP teams on both boys and girls side. And younger teams. Match Fit has whole locations worth of teams that aren’t in ECNL.

No one actually cares what one does and you both missed the point we just don't want to hear anyone complaining about decisions they themselves make. You think coaching for peanuts sucks then why subject us to your failure?
