Impossible, teams like PDA Blue scheduling games at 8am on Saturday morning so MD and PA teams have to stay Friday overnight for one game.

They call that strategy, clubs give the times the fields are "available" for games. There should be a penalty for not having specific times available for clubs that come from a longer distance.

Ds friend plays at GA club, and we cant believe there are times where we drive to play Scorpions or Stars while NEFC comes down here. From an environmental aspect alone, we could reduce a ton of driving, reduce costs and have a lot more time on field and not in cars by organizing the leagues to keep competition up and travel lower.

I can't believe we have players traveling 4-5hrs+ to Charlottesville, VA for games against Skyline but don't play CSA when they are an hour away.

If ECNL wanted to , they could've ended GA last year by taking TopHat, NEFC, Nationals, FCV, and a couple others. Now GA has a foundation and isn't going anywhere. I assume local ECNL pressure prevented those acquisitions. FCV is in a world of trouble now that Metro has been booted. They are surrounded by ECNL clubs.

Instead they have left it to build and GA now holds the same footing as ECNL when it comes to scouting. The old USYS NL never got colleges like GA does to go to anything other than nationals.

The 2007 FCV team was GA's national champion last year, they lost to World Class a month ago and then took a beating last weekend from PF and drew SUSA. Their FCV 06 team just lost to WC and NC Courage at Jeff Cup. For sure, tehy are on a downward trend.

Laughable. GA is a clear B league. Yes maybe the top 10-15 clubs would do well in ECNL, but many would struggle and be in the basement. ECNL doesn't need more average to mediocre.

Good players will get recruited from either league. So if NEFC or Top Hat are in your backyard you check them out. LISC or OW you avoid. And why should ECNL play nice when USSF wanted to destroy them? They're doing fine. So is GA. Pick what works best for your kid and family.

Clubs don't want to lose to other local clubs. The proliferation of leagues makes it easy to avoid one another. Yes it's dumb but having choices also isn't necessarily a bad thing for consumers.
