I believe it. This anonymous forum brings out the worst with these passive-aggressive parents we all have to deal with on teams. You know the ones that complain about other kids bringing the team down, their kids are perfect, they feel threatened when they see tryouts showing up at practice. It's unfortunately part of youth sports.

And that’s a school you can write home about. Very difficult to gain admission. congrats to the group. GA is doing a lot more than the ECNL diehards will ever admit to. There’s more than one quality league out there.

All the teams are loaded with quality and talented players, but Kelly ruined their confidence and development. Which teams were competitive at the #1 team in the GA? Please don't tell me that you are referring to the games in which the strategy was all out defense and kickball. :) Yes very competitive to pack 10 players in the penalty box and kick the ball away.
Social media made y’all way to comfortable disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face.

Agree, a coach can only do so much for any one particular player in the 1.5 hour practice sessions. Parents need to take some responsibility for their kids talent. They should be working on their own in the side, or getting personal training, or both. Then show up to practice and coach has more to work with. Pda is no different, they constantly recruit the next best talent, they can only develop kids so much. Ease up on the coach

Training is only part of the equation. Would you say it is normal for 1/4 of a team to leave in one season? And it could've been as many as 1/2

Taking what is posted on social media seriously enough to feel disrespected is also a major personality defect. Get a grip and ignore it, online postings don't hold a candle to what true disrespect is.

maybe …some of these girls are hit hard by puberty and become slow as molasses and some don’t adjust well to a full size field and the fitness it requires

If anyone here has every played college ball knows for a fact that Kelly is one of the worst coaches out there. She is constantly outcoached, and the practices are a joke. For hey the pay for play model allows for these terrible coaches to have job. Just a business.

You must be one of the STA coaches promoting the GA. Recruits come from all leagues, the GA has 6 quality teams, and STA is not one of them. To have a quality team, you need a quality coaches and STA has maybe one. It's not Kelly.

Of course a coach can only do so much, but for Kelly it's doing nothing as all. Just throwing a ball into the middle and having the players chase it.

no I’m a parent and I wouldn’t consider Owakwood or SS Select to be one of the premier teams of the GA but what do you know those clubs have players are going to Northeastern. And most smart parents know that a big part of the equation is academics but you don’t like to mention that part do you….

This post is about the current state of STA soccer; your post makes the assumption that GA players from STA are recruited into Northeastern. It's not the case at all.

I am not saying that - the previous poster said only players from the “top 6” GA clubs get recruited making the assumption clubs in the GA in general don’t get players into college
