Not sure why there is so much confusion on this subject. ECRL is expanding for girls, ECNL is expanding for boys. The primary objective is money of course, and the reduction of travel bands. The later is actual positive. The days of ECNL being special are long gone. If it was up to them ever club in the country would play under the EC umbrella. Lastly there will never be a pathway from RL to NL. Don’t kid yourselves.Comment

These rumors get started every year about this time as club directors are trying to convince families to join or to stay. Its all bs. MFA Shore getting ECNL, NJ Blaze getting ECNL, NJ Crush getting GA, have all been floated on this board and are all BS.Comment

First off. You need teams in every age group U12 and older to even get an ECNL designation. Blaze has 4 teams total between the boys and girls. Maybe 5. So that will never happen. Secondly, FK is so hated among the NJ soccer community, the powers at be at both ECNL and GA will never let any club he is associated with in. He cant go and cosch at CSA, burned that bridge, cant go to MFA, burned that bridge and nobody at PDA can stand him.
