Happens everywhere, you can't escape it. Embrace the challenge, stop running from it. If your kid is good, nothing to worry about. If your kid can't handle the challenge of a kid showing up at practice, how will your kid navigate if she wants to play college?

Some kids don't gave the personality to join a random practice, they feel more comfortable if there are other kids in same position. Some parents don't know you can " join" a practice so they show when they see the tryout announcement

Most teams take players mid season and operate on open tryouts year round. At the younger ages a lot of clubs do player pools which means you can essentially keep adding until you’re ready to split them separately.
