More importantly will they be a consistent starter? With big rosters don't take a spot if you're player 15-21. Go somewhere you'll play a lot.

The year before World Class 06 lost in the semi final vs the eventual champions, KCA on pens. While NE teams aren't uniformly stomping through cali and texas teams, it isn't as if we dont have teams that show up and compete well.
If that's what folks want to settle for fine but the reality is there could be an even higher level of play if there weren't so many "high level" programs saturating an area with low level players.

Keep adding and diluting the product and we can revisit in a few years to see how well this area does moving forward.

      Sometimes more is just more.

Yes and La Liga could have an even higher level of play if they just got rid of every team except Real Madrid and Barcelona. Obviously fewer teams filters talent more and expansion dilutes it. This dynamic applies to every sport from youth to professional. The key is to have the best level you can while also having a sustainable league since these are kids and the leagues are supported by parents. We could possibly lose a few teams in the area but really, those teams already do not have players who'd actually make the best ones. It isn't like getting rid of PDA White would make PDA Blue "better" by any measurable amount. At most ages you could eliminate STA, CSA and PDA White and the roster of PDA Blue would not change beyond maybe 1-2 players and maybe not even that.

I would disagree. Put that number at about 5-6. If you also eliminated politics, nepotism, etc.

My kid has been in both leagues on teams on upper end of league. Doesnt matter , pick team/coach you are comfortable with and within reasonable distance. Teams toward the top of whatever league will tend to have better recruiting options, but even on teams at bottom college coaches are looking.

If the league is important, I have a question for you . Do you want your kid to play in the top league or second tier league? As simple as that.
