All sports and non-sports activities are costly. You think playing violin or doing gymnastics is any cheaper?

my kid gets three 1.5 practices/week for maybe 45 weeks a year, plus 24 games, plus 5 tournaments. Costs our around $4K all in. That's about $15.50/hr (said a game is 1.5 hours and tournament is 4 hours)

Not a bad deal in my opinion

My kids violin (granted one on one) is $100/hr

and my D said recently "I only love 2 things, my dog and soccer". It stinks being a single dad sometimes
