2015 boys team with good coach & program? (Mercer)

Any recommendations on 2015 boys team around Mercer cou ty area?

We are moving to Mercer county by the end of Feb, and we want to find the right soccer team for my son.
He will try out for Matchfit surf Mercer 2015 and PDA hibernians. I heard that Matchfit can be really good or bad depending on the coach, and I know nothing about PDA hibernians.(Do they even have a league? Do they play in EDP?)

Hoping to find a team that has good coaches and training programs that could help players improve, learn to play soccer, not just caring about winning.

My advice would be to try out for both and have conversations with the actual coach who would coach your son's team. Both Matchfit Mercer (NOT surf, that place sounds crazy) and PDA Hibernians can be good, my kids got offers at both. We didn't like the 'win at all costs' vibe we got from the MF coach at my son's age group. He didn't seem interested in investing in development, wanted kids that were already excellent and strongly implied everyone else would be riding the bench a lot. But I doubt that is true up and down of their coaches. For a 7 year old, you could even just put him on a town team for now and wait to see how he develops...save the money? But to your question on the league for the hibernians, I think (but could be wrong) that EDP only starts at U11. And there is a "futures" bracket for U10's that want to play 9v9 already. One of the armchair experts on this board will surely correct me if I'm wrong. But bottom line, no one is playing EDP yet at U8. I'm not sure what league the younger ages at PDA Hibernian play, but starting at U13 they are playing EDP Club v Club and Elite 64. They are not the ECNL team for the club, that is PDA north. Matchfit Mercer OTOH is the ECNL team for the boys side, so if that is important to you then that is a consideration. I just checked for you and for the U11's Matchfit is playing in division III of EDP and PDA Hibos are playing division II. Not a huge difference really.

U8 (currently 2015) / U9 / U10 all play EDP futures for 7v7.

Any feedback on the 2013 MF Mercer boys team & coach?
