Agree, great subs by GB to see it through. The key was Aaronson as he played with tremendous hustle and energy from the go. Will he start vs Netherlands? Certainly deserves to do so.

Play Pulisic, Whea and Aaronson. Whea as a 9 checking in and making room for the other two to make runs.

Iran played a medium block (I was expecting a low block). Even with the medium block there was no room behind the lines for Whea to run behind. Sargent didn't do much, Wright did even less. I'd rader have Whea in the middle looking for crosses and someone quick like Aaronson on the wing cutting in. With Sargent playing high he's making the middle cluttered and he's not doing anything to make the offense more dangerous. All he did was press the defense.

Hopefully Pyllisic is back after that hit the nuts, I mean "abdominal injury." If we didn't have that goal + played such a poor 2nd half it could have easily been Iran's day.

We all want them to do well but let's remember where we were not long ago = not in it at all. Even this year not many expected them making it the next round. They tied England! They may lose Saturday but they've done very well. Much of the team is very young too. Things are looking up.

Aaronson is the key! Quality player would be an understatement. Hopefully the coaching staff wakes up.
