It would be ABSURD to think PDA would be able to out possess the much kings of possession.
I didn't say PDA didn't, I said take away Rutgers and it looks like any other top end club in NJ.
PDA doesn't work much on possession, they might work at it in games with teams that could hold possession against them anyway like when they play South. PDA, as is much of US soccer, is taught to drive up field and score. Take on 1v1s and 1v2s, how many times do you see a youth Barca team have players running more than 20 feet with the ball through defenders in the mid field or their own defensive 3rd? Here in the US you can watch defensive players try to dribble all the way to the half or farther and try to get past multiple players. This is why the US fails. Ball moves faster than a player can run and the ball doesn't get tired. Think back to very u-little, what is the 1st game kids are taught? Shark vs Minnow, dribble from one end to the other without getting the ball taken away. When did they learn how to pass? or shoot? or redirect? or the positions? I know HS age teams, ECNL and GA, that players couldn't identify what their position number is or what the primary and secondary aspects of their position was.

Many people in this area believe you can buy and teach talent. That’s simply ABSURD

Then bc they haven’t won a PLC you go ahead and say choose any South American coach, which is an entire continent & only had 1 coach who won a PLC! So if we are going to choose continent’s to pick coaches from lets choose Europe. Oh yeah I guess we can’t do that bc then we would have to include England? I guess American coaches would also be out too?
90 percent of American coaches are abysmal. Dribble dribble dribble.

Training 2-3 times a week for 1.5 hrs on a field that you have to share with 2-3 other teams is not development. Then playing a match over the weekend. These idiot parents think this is normal. Real players do the extra on their own with pickup games as well as their own training with cones, wall ball as well as working with a partner on net. Real soccer players are involved 7 days a week.
