    …. Not good enough

English coach has never one a PLC so my youth child can’t be coached by an Englishman bc they are…….

My kids team doesn’t look like Barcelona so they are……..

PDA doesn’t send all of it player’s to FSU and Stanford so they are…….

European academy’s are free so this pay to play is…….

My daughter is slow, weak, super skillful and high IQ. Unfortunately against “USA’s athletic soccer players” only the slow and weak show up. This is an unacceptable brand of soccer. It makes my kid look…….

PDA loses by a goal to Barcelona, yes “THE BARCELONA” and you guessed it right they are…. NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

I can go on and on with the absurdity of the high expectations around the youth soccer mentality amongst parents on this site.

The coaching standards are very poor. Regardless of “licenses”, the coaches out there are not mentors/teachers/communicators etc…..It’s a hodgepodge of individuals pocketing money and ultimately not creating a productive learning environment. Yes, the generically gifted will rise to the top because of shear athleticism and individual hard work but all others are casted away prematurely.

Since 8U and entering 18u, it’s shocking to hear the number of coaches that players have played for. It’s the same story from countless players. Crap coaches who don’t teach and just chase w’s and paychecks.

Personally, there have been 2 overall quality coaches and thankfully 1 of them from the past 3 years that kept my kid involved in the game. Could have easily quit after the garbage coaching from 12u to 15u with 5 different coaches of which 3 were removed by the club. 2 continue to collect paychecks and do nothing productive. That’s just disgusting. High school was a wasted after playing with 2 coaches who have absolutely no idea, are uninspiring, and certainly not educators. Just more of the same chasing w’s at all costs.

Parents are to blame. Players are to blame. Clubs are to blame but the biggest scam artists are the coaches out there that unfortunately make it ever so impossible for the educators/mentors that inspire their players.

Well done by the adults running youth sports. What a joke the system has become.

YOU HAVE CERTIFIED YOURSELF AS ABSURD!!!
What great coach in their right mind wants to come here teach youth kids with subpar ability. Be judged on the kid’s performances, make 12k for the year and worst of all DEAL WITH PARENTS JUST LIKE YOU?

It is a business, which means if you don’t like it you don’t subscribe. People are expecting miracles with kids that are decent players. Get over it.

Absurd you say? They are second rate coaches complaining about what they make. Why do it? For the love of soccer in America. I call bull****. They had no other choice or perhaps they are making a lot more money than people believe. I’ll go with they are robbing the idiot soccer parents blind. I’ll give them credit for that much. Smart.

GPS sure did get a lot of coaches/trainers to come over from other countries.

English coach has never one a PLC so my youth child can’t be coached by an Englishman bc they are…….I see no problem with that, I think foreign coaches/trainers have a lot they could teach given the prober environment and allowances.

My kids team doesn’t look like Barcelona so they are……..Who wants to pass around so much that they break the World Cup record for most passes, control 90% of the game and still lose?

PDA doesn’t send all of it player’s to FSU and Stanford so they are…….No one does but then again they don't really have players going to as many top schools other than Rutgers like most other Elite ECNL clubs.

European academy’s are free so this pay to play is…….Yes, pay to play is a major hinderance to being able to develop talented players. Biggest blame is on US Soccer for not adopting FIFA rules on transfer fees and trickle down payments. If there is $$ to be made the US would lead the way. We would have dozens of AJAX like academies churning out players for sale across the globe. Huge investments by the rich and powerful as well as corporations to start up dozens of free academies. But, alas, US Soccer is to greedy and worried about themselves and money going to them then actually growing the sport.

My daughter is slow, weak, super skillful and high IQ. Unfortunately against “USA’s athletic soccer players” only the slow and weak show up. This is an unacceptable brand of soccer. It makes my kid look…….Bashing players around instead of using skill is just wasteful. You want to be big and hit people as a girl then go play field hockey or lax. With out skill or soccer IQ you won't get very far which is why we are seeing the world catch up on the women's side. I doubt we see another WC championship or Gold metal for awhile.

PDA loses by a goal to Barcelona, yes “THE BARCELONA” and you guessed it right they are…. NOT GOOD ENOUGH! It isn't the score, it was HOW it was done and what the game looked like. PDA was out matched almost the entire game. Sure Barca wanted to win but that wasn't the driving factor for them like it is for US clubs.

I can go on and on with the absurdity of the high expectations around the youth soccer mentality amongst parents on this site. It isn't so much high expectations but just reasonable marks that should be hit but are constantly missed due to a few money grubbers.

It is not robbery when you know exactly what you are paying and do so willingly. The problem with your so called “idiot parents” is the evaluation of their own kids abilities and what a coach can actually accomplish with that talent! Many people in this area believe you can buy and teach talent. That’s simply ABSURD
