Howell and Boro should be evenly matched. I think Howell will advance but it will be a battle. Gonna be tough to get through Howell’s back line. They’ve been exceptional this season.

SJV beating Freehold would be an upset, but you never know.

Freehold 1 Howell 0 in the final. It was a battle. Only goal came on a corner. Defense was exceptional on both sides.

12th player on the field was the cross bar for Howell. Just wanna point out the importance of a 3rd ref. First goal was called off after a hit off the crossbar and the she scored off deflection. Offside would have been missed with 2 refs.

Freehold the much better team and they were missing key players as well. Wouldn’t have been close if 100% healthy.

FH keeper made one good cross save and 2 minor saves shot right at her. So let's say 3 possible scoring events happen. FH hit the cross bar 6 times and the keeper made 3 good saves. A total of 9 possible scoring events happen. So FH was the dominant team regardless of the missing links.

This is funny, some of the Freehold girls live in Howell and I'm sure some girls at Howell are from Freehold. That states largest High School (6 HS) district with weird borders and test in schools with in the district. Good game by both teams.

The game could have easily been 6-7 nothing but that’s soccer for you sometimes the games are close when they should not be.

Then why wasn't it? Freehold has beaten plenty of teams this year by 3-4 goals. They only got one in on Howell off of a corner. Sure, they had other chances, but the defense and keeper from Howell kept them out of the net when plenty of other teams couldn't. Sounds like a well played / well fought game to me.

Ever hear of luck? When one team hits the woodwork that many times and the other can barely muster a shot, 1-0 means luck. Without luck it’s 5,6 goals to nothing easy. But at least we can agree the better team won. Case closed.

Well it looks like Howell will get another crack at Freehold in the states. Let's see if Freehold is in it to WI it or to win the crossbar challenge

That game will not be as close, can’t get lucky like that again. And that’s with Freehold missing top players.
