Europe, South America, Latin America and Africa are in their infancy when it comes to growth in women’s soccer yet you have TS parents who think the USA have fallen behind. The truth is the USA system of development has been the “case study” for women's soccer around the world for coaches and players who came here to learn and get experience. The development argument by TS parents is a lazy argument to make themselves sound relevant.
USA still win the World Cup easy. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it! Just because they lose 2 friendlies the world is coming to an end.

They might make the final, won't win. It's not just the roster and coaching but also lack of chemistry

Easy? When have they ever won easy? 2015 was as closest as easy as ever but that team doesn’t exist. They just beat teams into submission

2019 frankly was gifted to them

Then you didn’t watch the European championships this past summer. Unless the USA Coaching staff change there formation and tactics as well as pick players based on merit they will struggle to score and especially defend. This group seriously lack chemistry and cohesion. They need those key injured players back if they want to compete. The England match was an embarrassment and a shock to the USA system. The match vs. the “C” team Spain is a low point that cannot be rationalized other than the players being considered right now are just not good enough.

If you think the status quo is somehow equivalent to improving when reality is status quo means they are static/not moving forward aka falling behind. Ain't broke don't fix it is akin to not improving aka falling behind. World won't end but the USA women won't be winning any hardware.

Women's: We've made minutia progress while the rest if the world has made leaps and bounds and are about to pass us
Men's: We've made bigger strides but the world continues to move forward as well. They were already so far ahead we may never catch up

Well, when you try to reinvent the wheel what do you think happens. Instead of adopting the FIFA and the academy systems that has been in place and working in every successful country the US decided to do it their way and created the mess we have today. The US needs to move to a single tiered system for advancement of clubs and players and promote those with promise and not based on popularity. Everything needs to align itself with the common goal of producing the best teams possible. I'm not saying things like ECNL, MLS, GA, USL, USYS, ID2, ODP and everything else need to go away, they just need to work together. But this is America, greed and favoritism always win out so our teams will keep getting worse and worse.

op here - it's a great theory but will never be executed. Such a system requires full buy in by everyone. There's too many fingers in the pie making good money and they don't want to give that up. It also requires on overall supervisory organization that knows what it's doing. I've little faith in USSF

US goal was Englands only mistake and it was good move by Horan who made the only good move -blocked the pass and plays in Europe- go figure.
