    QUOTE=Guest;n4388206]

    No its not bad. But usually those that want to have their kid take a summer off wouldn't want to be spending 4+ hours in the car driving for one game for an 11 year old. That makes me feel stupid typing that, I can't believe people are actually doing it. [/QUOTE]

    This fall we have to do a 3 hour, hour and a half, hour and a 30 minute. The rest are home... really not that bad...

      I’m not sure if your referring to pre ECNL? But the GA schedule for Northeast is just plain stupidity.

        Don't ecnl teams travel down to Virginia? Are you referring to ecnl?

          VA isn’t near as bad as Massachusetts and Syracuse. For u12 it’s brainwashing.

            North Atlantic goes as far as Maryland.

              Think Syracuse and Virginia are kind of same, you should learn geography, the DC traffic though I hear can make a 4 hour trip 5-6 hours. I've always avoided DC by passing in off hours but not sure how sats and Sunday afternoons are, it's been a while for me

                Been to the WAGS tournament plenty of times. Still wouldn’t drive my kid, under 12, 4+ hours away- one way- for one single league game. That’s idiocy.

                  I guess don't do it, haha, me neither but to each his own.
                  From my experience, kids do odd things in cars like sleep and watch movies on iPads and cell phones. Who would think it? What torture

                    $3,200 club fee add in this kind of travel starting at 11 and I really hope you get Alex Morgan out of it. Because it wasn’t even necessary for Alex Morgan, but somehow these clubs have parents convinced that this is the path to D1 and that is laughable.

                      I guess worry about your own pocket, you're worried about how others spend their money? Or where they drive all weekend? This is what keeps you up all night? So you go to pull out the alex Morgan card? Weak sauce

                        Imagine playing on mediocre B teams and traveling all over the NE just because you want your d to have 3 letters on their jersey.

                            What's a better alternative?

                              It's more about the 4 letters then then 3.... PDA blue is the top but unless you crack the starting lineup you are better off playing white or MF... then it's GA and al the rest...

                                Depends on what other options are in your area and what's the best for for your player. Your mileage may vary
