I guess, but I would rather my kid have explore outside of NJ or NE. There is tons of beautiful campuses and college towns around country. Why limit it to 50 miles around north central Jersey. They been playing in the same area their entire life. In addition they will play with kids that they already played in club. Considering that these girls are top recruits in their class, they can pick almost any school in county.

Getting the top players from several clubs to stay home and ring fence NJ is key. If other sports could pull off what Womens Soccer does they would have similar success. A ton of talent in NJ across sports!

Half the roster is PDA kids, one of the top clubs in the US. Not all sports are so fortunate.

How is it fortunate to attract the top local talent to the top local university? It’s hard work and planning.

I support all the women from the area no matter where they play. RU need to play some good teams before i get excited about them.

Can only speak for me, but why should I suddenly root for RU when for a long time PDA acted superior to other clubs that also played in NJ. Suddenly invoking NJ spirit seems disingenuous at best. no reason to take any pride in the NJ program.

National following? IDing players that fit their program? Please tell us a bit more about what that is. Are you saying the NJ players in the SEC or the ACC did not fit RU? stop the BS, its a 2 way street. RU may want a player but the player may not want RU. Most of the top 20 or so teams can win a one off game with the right amount of strategy, good fortune and talent but RU are not in the conversation of elite programs and are a ways away from that. I dont see that changing any time soon. Too many of the very best players in NJ are going to have opportunities that they see as frankly better.

So the poster is right. You hate RU because of a youth soccer club. That's totally logical....not.

Because you’re a good decent person that loves this great state we live in and appreciates the phenomenal soccer that these young ladies are playing. Good enough of a reason?

Sure, final 4 is not an elite program. Cmon at least do your research. Rutgers is a top 10 program nationally and they do a phenomenal job with recruiting and coaching.

But do they when half the roster is PDA player and going instate with even a partial scholly is like winning the lottery?

Very few girls get full rides for soccer alone. The ncaa allows 13 scholarships per team per year. Thats it. There are 25 or more players per team. Do the math.

More like 35+ Per team because of Covid and seniors taking another year. Rarely do they give a full ride they usually break up the money. If you are in it for a full ride you will be disappointed.
