    Quality play from both teams.
It’s hard to be a hater when RU is that good!

How many RU haters hate only because of the heavy PDA presence? Take some pride in the state's flagship program regardless of what clubs the players come from

Great team which has the NJ recruiting locked down. Rutgers football should learn from this so they can get better at recruiting too.

I am surprised that the RU football team hasn’t used it’s marketing leverage to get better players with NIL deals. RU is in one of the biggest TV markets in the country. I am guessing this will happen in the next few years and the talent will not only be retained in NJ but also be recruiting 4-5 star prospects nationally.

NJ as a state is hardly a football powerhouse. Filling the bulk of a football roster with primarily state players would limit their ability to compete with the big boys (and literally big southern boys lol). NJ is also a bit of outlier having a top national girls soccer club in the state.

Nobody cares about RU sports in NJ and NY area. Maybe player's parents, only one a game day. Northeast all about PRO sports.

It would seem to me that all of these kids have won regardless of club status.
You can play at any club and play DIII ball. Nothing special about PDA white/RL teams or the PDA South disaster of a program.

Hmm…Back before Schiano left the first time they were filling the stadium every game. I don’t think it was just 1 parent per athlete? Plenty of people have graduated from Rutgers that bleed red. They would absolutely love to support a great football team once again

That’s the absolute key for RU womens soccer, their staff does a phenomenal job recruiting and identifying players that fit their program. That builds competition and a winning culture, along with a national following. Hope they finally win it all, they deserved to last year outplaying FSU.

Really exciting and then you get to graduate and play pro for $35k a year or never touch the field again.

What they do better than pretty much any other RU sport is recruit locally and get all the top Jersey athletes to stay home and represent the great Garden State! Go RU!
