Yep, this is how my D got her commitment. Not via a coach following her social media accounts.

as many have said, social media is just one tool, albeit small one. some kids enjoy it, some spend way too much time on it as it is so why have another account? no one will get lost because they didn't have an account, but they will if they rely on that account to get recruited. getting recruited takes work.
