Looks like NJ Premier is debunking the idea of losing players as they get older. Same coach for the 2009’s and apparently taking over the 2011’s. Bright future.
Congrats but looks like they have lost 4 of the last 6 games they played. How is that the #1 team in the nation?
got soccer rankings dont matter if you win or lose. just how many got soccer tournaments you play in and get their points. you win 1 tournament and get 1000 points but dont play any others and a different team goes .500 in 10 tournaments and get 1500 points they will be ranked higher.
They are a good team. Would finish #1 in GA Division and probably upper half in New England or North Atlantic ECNL. One of the few USYS teams that can compete them. Problem is, it is only one year.
This is such an innacurate and misleading ranking. They are a good team with a good coach but to phrase their title as the #1 2008 team in the nation is completely false. So they are better than stars blue, so cal, solar, San Juan, pda blue, pipeline etc? Sorry no.
How are they #1 if they finished 2nd in their flight? Again they are a good team but it does not make sense. This should not be about bashing the team but bashing the ranking system. The idiots who created these ranking systems are setting these kids up to be bashed. No one should ever talk bad about young kids. Go after the system not the kids.

Everyone knows got soccer is a self serving tool geared towards leagues besides ECNL. However I agree that putting a number next to these teams is a little dangerous. Simply rankings teams according to level of play would be good enough
