The shots on goal were even at 7. If that’s all you have to say then I am not arguing with you. But games aren’t decided on who has the ball more or plays a pretty game. PP made one more shot than RP. That’s it.
2-0 is typically considered the most dangerous score in football. PP played the game they needed to not the one you think they should have by continuing to press forward.
In your mind somehow controlling the run of play wasn't conducive to winning the match but losing possession consistently by dribbling incessantly was-lol.

Yeah you win. Your midfield was so great that you win by 1 goal. The way you are talking it should have been a 5-6 goal victory. But it wasn’t, you destroyed a weak midfield and only mustered 7 shots on goal and 2 goals scored. PP dominated so much that it allowed a much worse team to even score is mind boggling. RP should have been so bad according to you that they should not ever had the ball in your half let alone your 1/3.
Banging the ball from the back line to the front line will tend to get the ball into the other teams half pretty easily. Gaining possession and winning the game weren't on the list of to-do's apparently.

Everyone knows you don’t sit on a 2-0 lead when you are dominating a game, you put the game to an end by scoring. That never happened. Actually if the middle was so dominant why did it even take so long to score? I mean the turnover machines were handing you the ball but somehow PP managed to get as many shots on goal as the dominated team and but by the luck of a non call penalty won by only 1. Keep tell yourself that they stopped trying to score bc it makes you feel better. But that team never stops trying to score, look at the games they played. You don’t stop scoring at 2-0 bc yes 1 goal and the game is close. Especially if your midfield is so good that you could have apparently played keep away. PP win the game and that’s good for them but it wasn’t a dominating win. It was only 1 goal
And where did it say the RP defense played poorly? If not for them it would have been a blowout. And if you watched the same match the rest of us did, the PP midfield did play keep away/was toying with whatever players RP had in there.
Considering RP was fortunate to even score maybe you should be looking at it more as a 0-2 defeat which is more indicative of the disparity in play than the final score.
And which midfielder was your kid again? You seem overly salty the midfield let them down.

This isn't going any where so how about we just say both teams have great teams and are strong good teams and good competition. There's no need to tear down either one. The two can co-exist. At the end of the day, Pennington came out on top for this match up. No one can take that away from them. And that doesn't mean the RP is not a good team either. Both teams have very good players and it was a good game to watch. There's no need to tear down RP and there's no need to tear down Pennington. Because at the end of the day both teams are made up of kids who are still growing, developing and learning. All of the people being negative, I would love to see you get in the position of these young athletes and perform the way they have to with such negatively being spewed their way. Let these kids be and enjoy playing the game they low. Stop all this BS and go do something productive with you life instead of being a-holes on this website, tearing down young girls and these young teams.

Then you used words like growing, developing and learning. Those are words to describe toys for toddlers. Same goes for young girls and young teams. Maybe you have a freshman on the team. Or maybe you don’t even have a player (best then to just not comment ) but these varsity teams are made of the best players at these top Prep Schools. If they weren’t capable of being on the team they would be on a freshman or JV team. I agree that bashing teenagers is ridiculous and below adults but stop acting like these teams are the same as some little rec girls. They deserve more respect than that.

That’s just dumb because even as an adult, people are still growing and developing new skills. And if these girls aren’t continuing to develop and grow their skills, then they will be left behind. Don’t assume you know me or know who my kid is. And I will leave it at that. Because going back and forth with some anonymous keyboard gangster who would never say these things with their name tagged to it is not worth anyone’s time.

They probably lost the ball as much as RP midfield did. Goalie only touched the ball 5 times yet PP dominated possession. RP defense was playing over the top so i guess the forwards we’re losing the ball often?
