RP dominated, could have easily been 5-1

I was at the game too. Agree on that. Had a long range shot that just went over bar and got behind the defense on 5-6 occasions. RP gave up a goal on an mis clear off a corner. Beside the big save for RP early, FH never had a great opportunity to score. RP shut down FH kid and forwards completely. RP front line was pretty dominant and scored 2 impressive goals. One from long range that was incredible.

FT is part of a district that has a magnet program. Patterson can and does recruit kids who should be at other high schools (two starters this year should be at Howell. One last year should have been at Manalapan). So when they’re playing other shore conference schools that can’t or don’t recruit, they roll them (Midd north, Midd south, brick, etc.) When they go up against other private schools that recruit, they lose. That’s why the whole #1 in NJ / #3 in the nation ranking is so dumb. The last time they played an out of state opponent they lost.
RP outplayed them.

To Rutgers Prep from everyone in the Shore Conference we would like to say Thank You ! Freehold Twp can take that we are the undefeated #1 team in the state swag they have been walking around with and go SUCK IT!

Might want to start the recruiting drive early this year since there might be a few more parents on that RP bandwagon. Not criticizing any parent who avoids the public school system but reality is HS that recruit to this degree should be winning 10-0 over public schools all day long.

Should give a call to Pennington Prep, another recruiting power house, to see how RP would fare against other P2P recruits/professional team-:)

And we aren't talking about any public school, we are talking about a school who seeks out good soccer players in the district to make sure they play for this school and not other high school. Pretty amazing an adult expects others to believe that a NJ public school that seeks out kids within district to play soccer is equivalent to a private school that recruits specifically for soccer with very few if any limitations.

Let's just say we aren't seeking your input into what is or isn't considered "recruiting" with that hilarious take.

That’s false. That’s not how the freehold regional district works at all. You go to the school you are districted to. You can apply to the magnet program and if accepted you are in those specialized classes. You can’t just pick a school and go there.

He has kids from different towns playing on that team. They apply and get accepted…. Magically

But you could apply to the Freehold township magnet program so you could play soccer there, correct ? I think that would be alot easier than commuting and paying for private school.... Especially RP being private with a 50,000 price tag vs say a cathloic school at 15,000. Id day FT has the better recruiting option.

Doesnt RP play in a Prep tornament against all the other prep schools? aside from the state tornament ?
