    USYS !3G Academy/club v club league and Elite 64

So it looks like with Elite 64, there is some moving around.

Of the 9 teams that were in the Academy league last year (renamed club vs club this year), there are only 4 left (or 5 depending on your CSA/NJ Crush view). BUT one of the 4 is also listed in Elite 64, so I guess they have more than 1 team

    The 4 remaining are:
New York Surf Soccer Club NY Surf (also elite 64, probably with their merger with East Coast FC)
    Princeton SA PSA North
    Chelsea Piers Shoreline SC
    STA STA-MUSC NL EDP

    3 were added:
    NJ Crush FC 2010 Academy
Smithtown Kickers SC (LIJSL) LI Slammers Girls
    Manhattan SC Spurs

    5 "dropped out"
Empire State Youth Soccer Club Alleycats (their 08G team forfeited all of their games in the spring, so not sure what is up with them)
NJ Premier FC NJ Premier G2009 - BLUE (not sure if it is Blue or not, but there is a NJ Premier in Mid Atlantic Premier II this season)
Cedar Stars Academy -Bergen CSA Bergen 09 National (I guess NJ Crush took this spot)
Princeton SA PSA Monmouth '09 NL (guess this answers which PSA team is playing in Elite 64)
FC Copaa Academy FC Copa Academy G09 Black (Elite 64)

Any idea why North Atlantic has this Club Vs Club but the mid Atlantic does not?

The empire 08g team did not forfeit all their games last spring. My daughter played them in the fall and the spring. I wish the forfeit did happen to save me that trip to Albany.

It contains both North Atlantic and mid Atlantic clubs. It could be put in Mid Atlantic with the same teams, North Atlantic is just a holder

Yea, I think they kept 1 team for some reason. They should have NEVER been able to play In a NJ conference

Thank you. So it looks like teams moved to Mid Atlantic Premier I. Looks easier for the travel compared to North Atlantic Premier I. Albany is never a fun drive. Sure they felt the same coming to NJ.

thanks. Why not just disperse those teams in the mid Atlantic and North Atlantic divisions if they belong there? Any idea why they have a separate division? Is the division any different than the premier I?

because the want to be in a "club vs club" division for some reason. My feeling is that they have some good teams and some bad teams, and if you are in club v club, you can hide that fact

maybe. Seems confusing and I question why EDP even considers them USYS eligible if they aren’t deserving to be in the normal premier I brackets. Maybe someone who reads this can shed more light.

because EDP considers them higher than Premier I since they probably pay more money to EDP

I think at the end of the season, they should have
                        Club v Club #1 play EDP Premier I #1,
                        Club v Club #2 play EDP Premier I #2,
                        Club v Club #3 play EDP Premier I #3,
                        ....
