These seem pretty accurate across the age groups but it seems limited to using only ECNL league and showcase results and would benefit from adding ECNL level tournaments such as Jefferson Cup, FC Stars, PDA, FC Delco Kickoff and Players Cup, SUSA, etc. and their equivalent tournaments nationally.

It's a good start. Tournament play is a different animal though especially with the ability to use guest players which is more common with the younger age (<U16) groups. Olders are only participating in "College Showcase" tournaments and tend not to use guest players.

Not true as FC Delco ECNL used guest players from other leagues in the PDA ECNL showcase, it’s actually pretty common.

I don't think ECNL allows guest players. They do allow Discovery Players which requires those players to be registered with ECNL and are considered a "part time" player for that team.

That's true, only discovery players allowed at ECNL events.

I was out at Player's Showcase in Vegas a few years back and another team from my region was out there and they brought 5 guest players with them. Those players made them considerably better.

PDA South out of 123 clubs:
                09 - 108
                08 - 118
                07 - 71
                06 - 85
                05 - 105
                04/03 - 85

Sad that every team is so low, even worse is the fact that their are teams lower.

The average of the MFA teams is 51. At one point they were a top 25 club in the ECNL, but they are still comfortably in the top half. Take out the 2009s and 2008s, they are 53. So that is probably about where they rank now. Very interested to see how the PDA 2005s due. Team is loaded, but struggled some this year out of conference. Did have two kids away with the National teams and some injuries. Looking for a big showing,

                    ECNL 100% allows guest players

There are definitely NOT any guest players in ECNL league play or events. Non-ECNL tournaments (like Jeff Cup) yes, but you must be carded by the ECNL to the club you are playing for in an ECNL event or league.

Guest player or as ECNL calls them “Developmental” players. They definitely use them. Same concept. The player plays for another club but can still play ECNL.

Actually they are called Discovery Players and there are rules. They can play in only two ECNL games per season (Fall/Spring). They are not permitted to play in Playoffs or National Events. However, they can play in Nationals if they commit to the club and pay for the '22/'23 season.

And yes, tournaments outside of ECNL are open game as with any other league.
