Central Jersey 2011 Boys Options

Hey all, looking for some options for my son for the fall season in central jersey. We're on our second team the last 4 years where things start off well, coaches talk about developing all players etc...only to have it wind up that 8 players play the whole game the remaining 6 have to fight to get more than a few minutes a game. Trying to find a club with good coaching interested in developing kids that's a fit for us. He's a solid player and can play competitively so don't really want to do the town soccer thing with parent coaches. Appreciate any suggestions thanks!

Really depends on where you live and where you are “coming from”. Don’t need to give club names if you do not want, but just what division he was playing in, and how they did (like top team in ED0 premier II)

Makes sense. One team was EDP Premier II and top-3 of league. Other team was EDP Championship II, mid league and he held his own on that team. Search area is within a reasonable distance (30min) from Edison/Woodbridge area.

That is quite a range (Champ Ii is like 5 levels below Premier Ii for boys). I know you said “no town teams”, but at this level there are quite a few “better” town programs (or ones that have “clubs attached to town), so it might be a good choice. I know more about the girls side and Premier II to Champ II is only 3 levels but there is a HUGE difference in skills for them

Match Fit Academy has two solid teams, one is top flight, one is prem 2 level. Check them out.

Why not include town teams in your search? Central Jersey Championship 2 was comprised of mostly town teams. Union Selecao Red is a town B team. Madison is a town team, Kearny Dynamo II is a town B team. World Elite is a Howell town team. Liverpool Central White is essentially a town B team. Premier 2 is 6+ Flights above Championship 2. not sure what direction you went. If you went from Championship 2 to Premier 2 and arent getting playing time, either trust they will develop your son after such a huge jump or look somewhere in between. If you went from Premier 2 down to Championship 2 that was a huge step down. look somewhere inbetween.
