Some good coaches and teams but hamstrung by their small size. Quality of teams inconsistent from age to age and typically just one team per age group. They’ll tell you that makes for more personalized approach, but offers lack of movement within teams in an age group and limits their ability to join something like the Girls Academy league or the ECNL (if that were even an option in NJ. It’s not). So inevitably in older age groups better kids get poached, migrate to clubs in more visible leagues, especially if they are looking to play in college. Depends on where your kid is right now in terms of age, quality.

This club has fallen off quite a bit the last few year since turning into NJP from NJ Elite. They have one solid coach on the boys(J) and one on the girls(R). Their 05, 07, 08 and 09 boys are shells of what they used to be. They used to be much better at younger age groups. Their best players are always looking to go to bigger and better clubs, most notably PDA. The girls do a bit better at USYS mainly because that league has been crushed by ECNL and GA the last few years and the best clubs have left. They compete mainly vs. the B teams of some of the top clubs. The move into club v club or academy has diminished the competition they used to play with SJEB, Real, STA and CSA all putting their top teams in GA. At younger age groups prior to full sided they are ok.

on the other hand, lot of this doesn’t matter to many youth players and parents in younger ages.

I never fully understand how people just say it’s a great club and that’s acceptable. Long winded answers or not still matter. What doesn’t always matter is what the club is like but the team you are looking for and you didn’t even say what age group or gender. So if you’re looking for 06, 07, or 08 girls then great teams. If you’re looking for 05 boys then keep looking.

Great club, that play in most flights at the highest level. Tend to develop and be successful as they grow per age group. For Girls 07, 08, 09, 10, and 11s are very good and well coached. All boy programs are very good. Coaching is good and they focus on technical side vs just kick and chase to win. Better overall soccer. Comment above is look at there record for 2011s at 0-6. In Fall they were 7-0. You develop from losing and figuring out what works. First season in Flight 1 is an experience. 2009s played very well in USYS. 2008s believe are top 5 in state. 2007s were regionals champs.
I believe this satisfies great club and long winded.
