Not the poster but this was a question about 8 year olds. If you're in this because you think your ulittle is on a path to college soccer? Let alone D1 soccer? You have a lot of learning Grasshopper.

You realize the genius giving advice to let the kids take the summer off brought up the fact his kids are college players right ? So if he's going to show up giving wise tips he has to have evidence to prove that taking a whole summer off from the sport eventually leads to the elite path. Then he back tracked and said playing pick up is perfect and recommended during the summer months. So the clown keeps contradicting himself...

its not soccer advice. It was a parent telling others how they should or should not allow there child to participate in structured soccer activities over the summer.

Opinions should be kept to themselves unless the question was asked. Unfortunately the opinionated parent didn’t read or comprehend the initial question which asked “what 2014 team/clubs are offering summer select?!”
