Give your kid the summer off. Pushing 8 year olds is a pathway to burnout . At moat do a one week camp that's it

Young kids don't need to play all the time, especially in structured programs. Let them practice in the yard, take them to a park with nets and hopefully some other kids to just play. Can't tell you how many kids I saw burn out over the years, even ones who when younger seemed to never get enough. If they want it they'll work on their own. The summer isn't all that long and having some unstructured time is good for their bodies and minds.
