GotSoccer is the biggest joke of a ranking system. It only counts games in tournaments and leagues that uses it software which leaves out ECNL, ECRL, GA and a few others. It is easily manipulated with tournaments by playing down since points are based on the combined values of the bracket with the winner getting a very large share.

It actually takes that into consideration. That is, if a team plays down often it gets zero or very little points It’s not that bad although not perfect.

That Got Soccer ranking system is kind of like getting tickets for playing games at Chucky Cheese arcade games. The kid who plays the most games gets the most tickets but in the end those tickets dont get you crap

They went 1-1-1 at Jeff Cup and still have not won that elusive national championship (where ECNL AND GA teams aren’t even present). They were nowhere near #1 in youth soccer rankings. Going GA will have them fall from the previous #1 ranking once they lose their EDP points.

USYS is 3rd/4th platform. ECNL is top. GA is 2nd. USYS will arguably be 3rd still but Elite 64 might even bump it down to 4th.

Story of youth soccer unfortunately just selling families on the next best thing. USYS was the top, now GA is. If they moved to ECNL I’m sure that would be top. Whatever filts the narrative.
