    Search for “soccer rankings” on the App Store and look for the green logo. YSR is back!

      Hello -

      Since the youthsoccerrankings.us website was shut down at the end of March, I have been working long hours to create a new and improved system that runs as an app on your phone or tablet. Please check it out by searching for "Soccer Rankings" on either the Apple App Store or (in a few days) the Google Play Store.

      In this first release you can view rankings for all teams from U10 to U19, view results, see game result predictions and correct errors in the team entry or playing record. I hope you will help me to get the data as accurate as possible. Some improvements you will see over the old system.

      * More results.
      * State rankings based on geographical state (e.g. CA, NY, OH, PA, TX)
      * Better automation of merging results from different websites.
      * Instant update to the rankings if you make corrections.
      * Score prediction and win probability for any pair of teams.
      * More predictive ranking algorithm.
      * Secure tracking of who makes changes so we can block user's editing rights if they make careless or deliberate errors.

      The next release will include bug fixes plus club rankings.

      I would greatly appreciate it if you would spread the word about the new app in your soccer community. Hopefully we can get this into the hands of competition organizers and improve the experience of traveling teams across the country.

      Please let me know if you see any issues or have any ideas for improvements.

      New contact information: support@usasportstatistics.net

      Kind regards,

      Mark

          I think you are going to have to “move the line” between free and pro. Too many mistakes to only have paying people be able to fix. You need a lot of people to fix the data

              I see some errors, but I am not paying $10 to submit them.

                I will just wait and look at one of the parents who paid the $10.

                  And continue to complain about got soccer rankings, but to cheap to pay $10 for something that isn't perfect but likely better than got soccer. Makes a whole ton of sense. The worst people are those who complain with no solutions

                        Then don't. Its $10 PER YEAR. Anyone that has a kid playing is shelling out 3k-10k a year between club fees, uniforms, travel etc. $10 a year to support keeping the App running is a steal. Just having an aggregator of game history in the fragmented US youth soccer system is a great resource tool.

                          Paying to be able to fix the data you are paying for? You'd be better off charging 99cents a download or ads. Doesn't matter what people are paying for their kids to play you are asking people to pay for the ability to correct the data that they are looking at. It would be like Wikipedia charging people to add or make changes to a wiki. You are only hurting your data at that point.

                            The funny thing is they originally took it down claiming issues with the data quality. Now they're charging so users can fix the data.

                                yea, you need the masses involved in fixing data. The dude has to make money somehow (it is a lot more work than people think), but not sure if this is the way. Like I can see there is a team in the wrong year (Well they are in 2 years. I guess they played in some funky tournament where they were in some weird bracket, but I cannot see the data, so I do not know), but not worth $10 since I know I can just ignore it
