This is the year where the "big clubs" try to win every game, and town teams are still "playing everyone in every position". Funny, the clubs dont do much better than the town teams, but do well enough so that they can get the best players from the smaller towns. Then they repeat the process the next year and get the better players from the bigger towns.

What coach/team has settled a player into a position at 9yo? I see some of the better technical players at this age still thrown to defense on occasion and to some degree, I believe it makes sense. Perhaps that technical player can see plays develop better or create an improved sense of bravery. The point is, rotation of position is perfectly fine. All that matters is that they are developing at this age. If they’re good enough, academies will find them

Most bigger club teams have kids set as offense or defense or gk by U10. They even start to move away from “everyone has equal play time”. The best players on a 15 person 9v9 squad play all 60 minutes.

I dont believe these teams put forward their top lineups as futures is not public information. Tournaments however are.....

The coaches that really care just do not submit their scores unless it makes them look good. And then they hope the other team doesnt hand in their bad games. Sad, but since it is what feeds their kids, I guess it makes sense

They definitely do put their top line ups in, especially u10 and against the local teams.
You see players that play ‘up’ playing down in the big games at 7v7.

Nope, Silver is their B I believe. Black is the A, they are in the top flight of U10 & also play up (very successfully) in U11.

Refs work for clubs/towns. And it is the coaches. Technically you can be assigned a forfeit and fined $50 if you don’t enter. So not the refs responsibility

Nope, Silver is their B I believe. Black is the A, they are in the top flight of U10 & also play up (very successfully) in U11.

That 2013 team are very good. They compete well against the older girls and have some excellent players. Will be interesting to see if they play up 9v9 a year early - which I don’t know if they should.

FA Black is the A team. The Silver team is usually mixed with players from A and B, I don’t think it’s an actual team.
