Nobody asks “problem kids” to come back to a team a year in advance. Nobody holds “problem kids” cards over their head to teach the remainder of the team a lesson. They have become “problem kid” bc they are not drinking the kool aid that’s been served to them. I keep hearing about 1 girl who wouldn’t go to far tournaments. Maybe they couldn’t afford all the travel bc it was certainly what most would consider very frequent? I have read in a post about a MFS family who is going even though they can’t afford it so the kid doesn’t get punished? Really? This absurd and the team of parents and coach are collectively off their damn rockers.Comment

You are right. They are not the problems. The problem is when you don’t go along with everything RT does. The problem begins when you question him, his tactics or his motivation. That’s when he looks to push you out and off the team. Just think about this, in the span of a few months his teams are being asked to go to FL, VA,PA and SLC. Some of these trips require flights, all require hotels. A parent could spend close to 10k a season just in travel! For 10-12 year olds that is just silly. I completely support the parent that said no to that nonsense because I am sure for the 09’s there is more travel than what I just listed.Originally posted by Guest View PostComment

Teams will hold cards of players who just want to leave mid year for personal reasons. This however is a very different situation. They were booted before they wanted to leave! That is unacceptable bc they will lose 1/2 season.Originally posted by Guest View PostComment
