Do any exist in NJ? Would love for my daughter to have the experience of being coached by a female athlete.

Just because a coach is female doesn't mean they're good or are a good fit for your player - or that the teams is a good fit for them. go for the best overall fit and if you're lucky enough to chose between one male or one female then go for it if you think it will enhance her experience. Also know that clubs move coaches around frequently and who have this year may not be the same next year. Then what do you do? -

Yes I am familiar with all the scenarios that can play out. I would obviously go watch team play, watch the coach how she handles the team and have daughter go to practice sessions, etc. If the coaches change the following year and team is intact and progressing, then the coach change should be a positive event. The only clubs we played for have had the same coach year after year since 2 were parent coaches-whose kids were on the teams.Originally posted by Guest View PostComment
