So she tried out at a bunch of clubs that we heard about, she got accepted at a couple of them and she chose one. No coaches making pitches or promises, no drama, just went to the one that felt right to her.

That’s the way it should be. My biggest red flag is if a coach is talking to parents as a group during try outs etc. It’s not about me, it’s about my kid. If a coach is focusing on me buying into something it makes me uneasy.

Technically its all YOUTH soccer until they are adults. But many consider U15 and younger developmental years - which is 9th grade and younger. But on this chain I think they are talking really little like 12 and younger.

For girls, U14. For boys, maybe U15 due to growth spurts usually being a drop later. You can see a physical difference in the games at these ages versus year prior.
