We just got off the phone with our zoom call. It was confirmed that Matchfit Shore is not only getting the 2010 ECNL badge in the fall, but also the 2008 badge. As for the fields, they new discussion is if we get the sponsors that we are aiming for, aside from the fields we will also have a indoor facility. The one we are looking at with be the biggest indoor bubble on the east coast, ready for the 2022/2023 season. Big things coming for Matchfit Shore!

So MFS isn't getting ECNL and still no fields? Got it.

About time, our 2010 team is better than the north's. They only have two players that can play..

Seems like this is prime for another year long "we're going to announce something" chain of posts. The post itself makes no sense. Firstly, I'm pretty sure the 2010 north team is better than and has been the shore team this year. Why would they move the badge in that case. Secondly, it seems very unlikely the 2008 team would all of a sudden be run out of the shore location. There will be an open try out like every year and if the shore location has more kids make the team than kids remaining from the current north team then it would be in the same situation as the 09s, practice between the 2 locations and play out of the north. Third, the fields discussion is crazy. Would north really get fields in place for shore before taking care of their main location? Also, there were posts on here last year about how they were getting fields at Fort Monmouth (not true), taking over capelli-owned fields (not trued), or getting their own complex (not true). This rings like the same kind of post (with the assumption it's even from someone at MFS. Lastly, the entire discussion sounds like someone took the talking points of the adventure sports complex and wrote them out here. They're supposed to have 4 indoor and outdoor turf fields. That entire complex is owned and being rented out by an outside company. MFS at most would be able to rent field time there like I'm sure PDA Shore, PSA, Copa, etc. will.

Honestly, I'm sure there are a lot of things being said and promised on the MFS to make sure kids stay. Promising badges and fields would be my guess for the easy button on promises. If one or both of those don't work out then they can always blame it on someone else (ECNL, PDA, CSA, township approvals, mysterious sponsors, whomever) and you'd still have signatures for teams.

Girls North Atlantic Pre-ECNL is no joke. Penn Fusion, FC Bucks, Bethesda, Pipeline and MFA are all very strong clubs. Based on what I've seen of MFS 2010s they'd get eaten alive.

Could this be the Adventureland facility in Jackson?

We understand that, Jackson being in Ocean County has been the case for maybe 200 years thank you. The quote reference did not say the turf fields/facilty is located in Monmouth County.

CSA 10 green kids joining MFS mid spring.
Several parents very unhappy with the current coach.

2010 CSA green is a great team with a number of really good players. Their attacking midfield is the best I have seen in that position for that age group.

What is MFS going to do with their current players in the 2010 blue team?

MFS is playing 11v11 so has room to expand. Obviously, the best players from the combined group will start, while others will come off the bench. Unfortunately, it will mean after tryouts that some current MFS Blue players won't be offered Blue spots again. But this has to be expected...it's a team that only formed less than a year ago and to be elite some players are going to be replaced with better players. It sucks for those players, but that's the reality of building a top-level team.
