There were four Rutgers women’s soccer players drafted and signed to play professional soccer. That is proof enough that this group has the respect of the NWSL to be brought in to play professionally. On this page and others you have bitter, angry, disgruntled anonymous TS parents taking shots at the team and staff. Once again, you have been shown how little you know about soccer either at the club level or college. It’s cold outside, time for you to jump back down the rabbit hole head first. Keep the insults coming because the jokes on you.

So no - not thinking they won - until they get PAID a normal salary. Those that played for Harvard, got to enjoy soccer and are now making $350K out of college - that I would call a success. But everyone has different goals.

The amount of work put in should equal the pay but it doesn’t. So yes it’s lovely to do what you love but you also need to eat and not everyone has Daddy footing the bill while they “do what they love” for 10 years.

You are still paying for the Harvard education. Womens soccer gives out so little money it’s laughable [/QUOTE
If you you can’t afford Harvard and they want you to play they will provide an enormous amount of aid. Their endowment is in the billions for kids that are smart and good at sports. The rest of the parents likely can afford it- so it’s a non issue.

You are one of those dads that is banking on the scholarship so that you can tell your self it was worth it. I can tell you you're like to be disappointed unless your kid is top 3% and also has the grades. If she does that's great but you'll need to keep investing and praying that she makes it so you can justify all the money you spend. Or you can see it as an expensive hobby that has a chance of opening doors for your kid. The scholarship should be icing on the cake.
